A custom tattoo is designed once — for you. Bring us a meaning, a memory, a few reference pictures or a rough sketch, and we’ll turn it into a one-of-a-kind design that fits your body, your placement and your style. Custom work is the heart of what we do at Candy Ink in Sunnyridge, East London.
Why go custom?
- It’s yours alone. No one else will walk around with the same tattoo.
- It fits your body. We design around the shape and movement of the placement, so it flows instead of looking “stuck on”.
- It tells your story. Names, dates, pets, faith, family, places — we find a way to work the details in.
- It ages better. We size and space the detail so your tattoo stays readable for years.
Styles we design in
We tattoo across a wide range of styles and love mixing them: black & grey, realism, colour, watercolour, neo-traditional, new school, trash polka, sketch, floral, dotwork & stippling, blackwork, geometric, abstract, surrealism, 3D, animal portraits, minimalist, micro and text. Not sure what your style is called? Our tattoo styles guide explains every one.
How the custom design process works
- Tell us your idea. Fill in the free quote form or WhatsApp us — attach reference photos, and let us know the size and placement you have in mind.
- We talk it through. We’ll ask the questions that shape the design: the meaning, the mood, colour or black & grey, and how big you’re happy to go.
- We draw it up. Your design is created for your placement. Small tweaks before tattoo day are part of the process.
- Tattoo day. We stencil it on, check it with you in the mirror, and only start once you love it.
- Aftercare. You leave with full aftercare instructions — and you can WhatsApp us any time while it heals.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a custom tattoo cost?
Every custom piece is quoted individually based on size, detail, colour and placement. Send your idea through the quote form for a free price. A deposit may be required to secure custom pieces.
Can I use a picture I found online?
Yes, as inspiration. We’ll adapt it so it suits your body and becomes your own design rather than a copy.
Do you take walk-ins?
No — we work by appointment only, so your design and your time in the chair get our full attention.
